The PRLA HOA web site contains information restricted to:
PRLA homeowners and current residents (as per their membership in our PRLA residents Google group/email list prla_residents@googlegroups.com). To be added to the PRLA Google Group, please send an email to panda.prla@gmail.com with your full name(s), unit number, when you moved in, and which email address(es) you would like added to the list.
HOA board and manager (as per their membership in our PRLA board Google group/email list prla-board@googlegroups.com).
Any verified email address can be used to sign up and will allow for receiving emails posted to respective group. However, to gain access to restricted information on the web site you must sign up with your (a) Google account. Please add the Google account email address to the PRLA residents Google group/email list per instructions above. Notes:
You will only have to do this once. If you already signed up to the PRLA residents Google group/email list with an @gmail.com or other Google account email, then you're done.
You can opt out of receiving emails to some of the accounts you sign up with (which can be handy if you have signed up with a non-Google account for the purpose of receiving emails and a Google account for the purpose of getting access to restricted information on this web site).
You may already have a Google account (despite not having an @gmail.com address). The organization hosting your emails may already be built on top of Google's system/Google accounts or you can create a Google account for any email address as long as the email address is yours (see https://accounts.google.com/SignUpWithoutGmail).
If you try to access restricted material while not signed in, you will be prompted to sign in. For access, sign in with the same Google account you signed up with above.
Notes around online collaboration:
While you are signed in, any collaboration you participate in will be visible to others in the same group(s) together with the publicly visible parts of your Google account profile (e.g., your first name and/or profile picture. For example, comments made on a document or photo may be accompanied with your first name and/or profile photo.
If you are authoring material, always favor documents that can be collaborated upon online over sending revisions back and forth via emails/in discussion forums.
If you author a document intended for PRLA residents-wide collaboration, please create the document in the restricted, shared, PRLA Residents drive (or PRLA Board drive). This ensures the document is owned by PRLA (even if there can be many privileged editors). As of 2020, ownership of Google documents can not be transferred across domains (such as from your personal @gmail.com to PRLA's @prla-hoa.org), so if the document is not created in the shared drive, then a board member must make a copy stored in the shared drive before collaboration continues on the PRLA owned document.
